The cost of hospitalisation is the cost of your stay in our clinic. If I am in a private clinic with which Bupa has an arrangement, what happens? As soon as you have observed any delays for your products, we will reimburse the cost of the medication you receive as a private healthcare provider in private clinics with which Bupa has an arrangement, provided it is covered by your insurance.

Some of these clinics may levy a small amount of a day rate that you have to cover. You should be informed of this at the time of your reservation. These fees are in conjunction with any additional or co-payments you may have under your medical insurance. All co-payments or deductibles in connection with your insured sum will remain.

As a private individual, can I be cared for in a private clinic or in a private clinic with which Bupa has no deal? When you decide to be a private individual hospitalized in a government clinic or a private clinic with which Bupa has no arrangement, you are insured for any Medicare approved care as follows, unless it is suspended or limited under your supervision.

Under these conditions, it is likely that you will have to pay for your medical bills. So what happens if I go to a private clinic with no deal with Bupa? When you are accepted to a Medicare approved course of care in these clinics that is covered by your insurance: Do you have limited cover for your medical bills?

This means that in these clinics you are likely to have high cost prices. They are still insured for dentures up to the amount shown in the list of state dentures. What do I have to do to cover these expenses? Several of these clinics bill Bupa directly for the restricted services we use.

If I decide to be a private individual in a government clinic, what happens? When you are accepted to a Medicare approved course of care in these clinics that is part of your insurance coverage:

Normally this covers you for a dormitory, but you can still have an amount to cover yourself. Bupa can charge an extra flat rate in addition to the costs of your accommodation, according to your coverage ratio, when staying in a private room. When this amount is less than what the clinic will charge you, the clinic should tell you what you have to do.

They are still insured for dentures up to the amount shown in the list of state dentures. When your professional calculates more than this amount, you have to cover it yourself. If you are a private individual in a government clinic, you are also liable for your own private expenditure, such as TV rentals and phone bills, as well as for any gaps in your doctor's coverage.

Am I going to get a private room? Importantly, private rooms in government clinics are usually assigned to those who need them most. If you are a private individual in a government clinic, you have the right to select your physician if available. Dependent on your disease or your state, this may be the same physician who would have been assigned to you by the clinic as a general outpatient.

In addition, it is beyond Bupa's remit whether a physician is treating in a government clinic or carrying out a particular operation in a government clinic. If I can be medicated, what does that mean for me? If you are in a government clinic, even if you are a private individual, it is important to realize that you may still be on your list at the government clinic.
