Federal Health Insurance
Bundeskrankenkasse (Federal Health Insurance Fund)health service
FEHB can help you and your loved ones fulfill your health needs. Salaried and retired federal workers and their surviving dependants benefit from the largest choice of health insurance companies in the state. Optionally, you can select between consumer-oriented and highly deductible schemes that provide disastrous levels of insurance cover with higher retentions, health savings/refundable account and lower bonuses, or Fee-for-Service (FFS) schemes and their Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), or Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) if you reside (or sometimes work) in the area covered by the scheme.
You can use this website to check the expenses, usefulness and functions of different schemes. The different performance classes have been selected according to registration request, difference between schedules and ease of use. We recommend, however, that when selecting a health care program, you consider the full range of services as well as services, expenses and supplier uptime.
FEHB planning leaflets show you which activities and deliveries are included and how high the cover ratio is. Check the booklets thoroughly. Leaflets are designed in such a way that they are all organised in the same way. Booklets can be obtained from your health insurance company or your personnel agency. The best surprises when it comes to your healthcare are no surprises.
Participants in other federal programmes such as Medicare and Medicaid are legally barred from participation in drugstore incentives under Section 1320a-7b of the United States Code ("Anti-Kickback Act"). The FEHB program is, however, excluded from the scope of this requirement. FEHB works with program schedules to eliminate all limitations.
