Individual Medical InsurancePersonal health insurance
The individual medical insurance is primarily governed at the state levels, in accordance with the McCarran-Ferguson Act. Standard laws and rules issued by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) require a certain amount of consistency. These are the NAIC's main model for the individual healthcare insurance market: Uniform Law on the Provision of Accident and Medical Insurance Cover (UPPL); Model of the Accident and Medical Insurance Minimum Standards Act; Unfair Commercial Practices Act.
